Maria del Rosario Reyes

Mrs. Reyes was born on October 7, 1939, in Edinburg, Texas, to the late Eufemia and Antonio Rios.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hector R. Reyes; her son, Ismael Reyes; her sisters, Elydia Rios and Margarita Tellez; and her brothers, Donaciano “Chano” Rios, Juan Rios, Santiago Rios, and Alfredo Rios.

She leaves to cherish her memory her brother, Jesus Rios; her sisters, Julia Valdez and Paula Rios; her sister-in-law, Lupe Rios; her five sons, Jose Luis (Irene) Ricardo (Ruth) Jesus ( Maria ✝️) Hector Jr. (Elida) Alfredo and her three daughters Irene (Jose✝️) Ramona (John), and Maricela. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, great grandchildren, great- great grandchildren and a host of extended family and loved ones.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Funeraria Del Angel Highland, 6705 N. FM 88, Weslaco, TX 78596.

Funeral Mass will be held at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 109 N. Illinois Ave., Weslaco, TX 78596.

Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco, Texas.

May the Lord grant Maria del Rosario Reyes eternal rest, and may perpetual light shine upon her.
