Maria D. "Angela" Rodriguez, 96 of Harlingen, Tx passed away Friday, March 18, 2022. She was also known as Angela, and nick-named "Chacha". Angela was born on February 28, 1926 to the late Ramon and Maria Cruz Rodriguez in Laredo, Texas. She and her family moved to Weslaco as a young girl, where she later met her husband of 57 years, Amadeo P. Rodriguez.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Ramon and Maria Cruz Rodriguez, 1 son Rolando Tanguma; siblings: Luis Rodriguez, Ramon Rodriguez, "Chelo" Rodriguez Edman; and "Cuqui" Rodriguez Leal.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Ana Rodriguez Cowan and 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a prayer service of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Highland, 6705 N. FM 88 Weslaco, Texas 78596. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 10:00 AM at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church, interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco, Texas.
