She was born on November 5, 1940, in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, to her beloved parents, Macario Villanueva and Julia Sandoval. Maria Isabel’s life was a testament to faith, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family.
In her early years, Maria Isabel worked alongside her family as a migrant farm worker, demonstrating strength, perseverance, and a deep commitment to providing for her loved ones. Later in life, she continued her hardworking spirit as a cashier, where she was known for her kindness and warm smile.
Above all, Maria Isabel was a devoted mother and grandmother whose love knew no bounds. She cherished every moment spent with her family, nurturing them with compassion, wisdom, and faith. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she loved so dearly.
A woman of deep faith, Maria Isabel was a devout Catholic and a dedicated member of the church choir at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Through her voice and her spirit, she brought comfort and joy to her community, praising the Lord with grace and humility.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Isela (Osvaldo) Saenz, Abel Ordonez, and Adrian (Rudy) Ordonez; her cherished grandchildren: Adrianna Saenz and Osvaldo Saenz; and her siblings: Maximiliano Villanueva, Ana Maria V. Novoa, Francisco Villanueva, Erasmo Villanueva, Jose Villanueva, Julia Villanueva, and Dominga Villanueva. She is also reunited in heaven with her siblings Josefa Espinoza and Frumencio Villanueva, who preceded her in death.
Maria Isabel’s life was a beautiful reflection of love, faith, and sacrifice. She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always cherished by all who had the blessing of knowing her.
