Marlon was born on September 4, 1973, in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, to Jesus Gomez Villarreal and Dora Garcia Cantu. From an early age, he was known for his vibrant personality, strong work ethic, and generous heart.
Marlon lived life with passion and authenticity. He found joy in the simple pleasures — fishing, fixing cars, singing, riding and caring for horses, and spending time with friends. He had a knack for making people laugh, always surrounded by those who appreciated his fun-loving nature and storytelling charm. A proud “Don Juan,” Marlon carried himself with charisma and confidence.
A man of great compassion, he never hesitated to help others — whether it was family, a neighbor, or someone in need. He had a soft spot for tacos, an endless supply of energy drinks, and a voice that often filled gatherings with music and joy.
Marlon served his country with honor in the Mexican Defensa Nacional Servicio Militar, a testament to his courage, discipline, and love for his homeland.
He is survived by his loving son, Marlon Gomez; his sisters Elsa Rosales, Dora Gomez, and Elida Trevino; his brother Jesus Gomez; and a large circle of devoted friends and extended family who will forever cherish his memory.
Marlon’s legacy is one of loyalty, humor, generosity, and warmth. His spirit will live on in the stories shared, the engines that roar to life, the songs sung under the stars, and every cast line by the water’s edge.
Rest in peace, Marlon. You will be missed beyond words and loved beyond measure.
