Martin was a very humble man.
He was a sincere friend to all he encountered.
A very hard and dedicated worker to his profession. He was always willing to go the extra mile and put children and others first. My greatest memories are many but two stick out the most. During his years as community aide at Central Middle School and Edcouch Elementary he did whatever it took to get the students to school daily. It was a pleasure to have Martin on my campus at Edcouch Elementary during my years as principal. I continued working with Martin during my years as principal of The Edcouch Elsa Early Childhood campus as he was the Transportation Director. The second fondest memory was having Martin take me personally on a bus trip route on the bus so that I could know the entire bus route of all my 850 students for both Edcouch and Elsa since I had students from both communities. As the years went buy it was an honor and a pleasure to work with Martin as Student Services director during my time at Central Office. Martin was always very cooperative in making sure his transportation staff received all the necessary training to be safe and in compliance. You are surly missed. But I can’t think of anyone better to make sure things run smoothly in heaven than you.
Again thanks for everything you did for me and the students of Edcouch Elsa ISD.

Goodbye my brother. I love you so very much. I will miss you but you will live in my heart forever. My heart is broken. You were a great man. You served the world to the best of your ability, always going out of your way to help those in need. You were the best husband, father, brother, and friend. You were always there for me, especially in my most difficult moments. I can’t digest the idea of your loss. You earned your wings Martin. I love you forever. Rest In Peace, Manito.

 Adela, please accept my sincere condolences. You and your family are in my thoughts and in my prayers during this difficult times. A little thought about Martin. My conversations with him were about life. The challenges, the struggles, and life itself. He was very honest and forthcoming about his life and health challenges. But not once did he feel sorry for himself. Nor did he felt that he had limitation. He said, “I just move forward”. And that is what I remember about him and that’s what I try to do with my challenges and struggles in life. And for that I thank him. He was indeed a special man.
