Melida "Bebe" G. Alvarez, 74, entered into eternal rest on March 30, 2022 at Valley Grande Manor in Weslaco. She was born to Virginio Garza and Melida C. Garza on September 23, 1947 in Toppenish, Washington. She has gone to be reunited with her beloved husband: Jose Antonio "Tony" Alvarez; parents: Virginio Garza and Melida C. Garza; her siblings: † Virginio C. Garza and †Aristeo C. Garza who have preceded her in death. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Michael (Bianca) Alvarez and Marissa Alvarez; grandchildren: Callista Hailey Alvarez, Kristian Nobalee Alvarez, Jack-Daniel Gonzalez, Justin-Angel Gonzalez, Michael Rey Alvarez, Julian Antonio Alvarez. She is also survived by her siblings: Alvaro C. Garza, Americo C. Garza, Maricela G. Terrazas, Miroslava G. Valdez, Marla G. Hinojosa, Aliver C. Garza and Abel C. Garza. Melida was very thoughtful, loving and caring and had a great amount of love for her grandkids. Family will receive friends Sunday, April 3, 2022 from 2 pm to 9 pm at Funeraria del Angel Highland in Weslaco. Visitation will continue Monday, April 4, 2022 from 9 am to 2 pm with entombment to follow at 3 pm at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Funeraria del Angel Highland of Weslaco.
