Minerva is survived by daughter Rosalinda Montez (Gabriel); daughter Cristela Beltran (Javier); daughter Annabel Laurel (Gume); and son Alberto Avalos Jr.; brother Carmen Tamez (Tule),sister Minnie Dashore (+Jim), brother Homero Tamez (Angelica), sister Elma Crittell (Ed), brother Gustavo Tamez Jr. (Aida), sister-in-law Manuela Ramirez and sister-in-law Maria Elena Avalos.

Minerva was preceded in death by her husband Alberto Avalos Sr.; daughter Lydia Avalos and daughter Angelica Lugo (+Luis); father Gustavo Tamez and mother Josefa Tamez; brother Hilario Tamez (Lile).

Visitation Services for Minerva will be held Sunday, May 23, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Highland Funeral Home locate at 6705 N FM 88 in Weslaco, Texas. A Church Service will be held on Monday, May 24, 2021 at 2:00 PM at La Santisima Trinidad United Methodist Church located at 409 E. 2nd St. in Weslaco, Texas followed by the Interment at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco, Texas.
