

The Hinojosa/Ozuna family would like to inform the community of the eternal rest of Minerva "Minnie" Hinojosa, 37, of Weslaco, Texas. She passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022 @ 6:13 a.m. in Progreso, Texas. Minerva "Minnie" Hinojosa was born in Weslaco, Texas on January 17, 1985.
She is survived by her one and only son David Ozuna Jr. of Weslaco, TX along with her parents Eluterio Hinojosa Sr. and Raquel Hinojosa. She is also survived by her siblings Eluterio (Rosa) Hinojosa Jr. of Weslaco, TX, Marisela (Victor) Perez III of Weslaco, TX, Marivel Hinojosa of Houston, TX, Estevan (Julissa) Hinojosa of La Grulla, TX, Marlene (Carlos) Rangel of Houston, TX; 13 nieces/nephews and 6 great nieces/nephews.
Minerva Hinojosa persevered all odds as a teen mother, who obtained her high school diploma at Weslaco East High School in Weslaco, TX in 2002. She furthered her education and achieved her Bachelor's degree in English at the University of Pan Am in Edinburg, TX and immediately pursed her Master's Degree at Grand Canyon University of Arizona.
Minerva was a distinctive, beautiful young woman who was always full of life and smiles. Her big kodak smile would always make you smile. She was a faith devoted Christian who never let any negative situation bring her down as she would always turn them into positives. She was so generous with her thanks and appreciative of everyone. There was never a birthday that would go unnoticed where she would make them feel special, with either balloons, flowers, homemade card or cake. Minnie would always bring around her unmatched energy, vibrant personality and ecstatic attitude. She would bring so much joy and laughter to everyone she would meet. Never a dull moment during her presence. Minnie was a beacon of light that shined over everyone. She was truly an angel by beauty, heart and love. She left an imprint in our lives and was a true inspiration to all. We will forever cherish her glamorous moments and memories in our hearts.
