Odilia was born in Weslaco, Texas and raised in Saltillo, Coahuila Mexico and lived most of her life in Weslaco. She lived life always helping others, attending Nuestra Familia Daycare, spending quality time among friends and family members; but most of all enjoying the tranquility when gardening, knitting, making crafts and playing loteria.
A special thank you to the physician specialists, nurses and staff members at McAllen Medical Center as well as CIMA Hospice for providing outstanding care of our loved one.
Odilia is survived by 10 children: Juan Jose (Yolanda) Silva, Jose Ramon (Lorena) Silva, Bartolome (Cynthia) Silva Jr., Jose Silverio Silva, Geronimo (Martina) Silva, Sara (Israel) Camacho, Domingo Silva, Maria Asusena (Rodolfo) Rivera, Ricardo (Lori) Silva, and Martin Silva.
Surviving sisters: Maria Luisa Lozano, Esperanza Hernandez, Cristina Perez and Francisca Cavazos, 30 Grandchildren, 38 Great Grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
Is preceded by death by Bartolome Silva, Sr., David Silva, Maria Victoria Hernandez, Enriqueta Mendoza, Cleofas Mendoza and Paula Reyes Mendoza.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a 7:00 pm Rosary on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Funeraria Del Angel Highland Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Weslaco followed with the Interment at Highland Memorial Park.
