

Born and raised in La Villa, Texas, Olga later made her home in Weslaco, where she spent the majority of her life surrounded by the people she cherished most—her beloved family. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Olga lived a life marked by warmth, strength, and unwavering love.
Olga was the heart of her family. Her home was always filled with laughter, home-cooked meals, and open arms for anyone in need. She was a woman whose love knew no limits—a nurturer, a listener, and a source of encouragement and strength. Her life was a beautiful testament to the power of love, and her presence brought comfort and joy to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Guadalupe Hernandez, and their children: Guadalupe Hernandez Jr. (Maryann), Abel Hernandez (Linda), Noe Hernandez (Martha), Viola Almaguer, Alminta Cadena, and Jorge Hernandez.
Olga was a proud grandmother to Gary Hernandez, Lionel Hernandez, Lupito Hernandez, Jennifer Hernandez, Nikki Hernandez, Karina Preston, Sofie Hernandez, Marcelina Almaguer, Eli Almaguer, Nathan Almaguer, Alyssa Hernandez, Kevin Hernandez, Kaleb Hernandez, Adela Hernandez, Jennica Rae Paz, Myra Leonore Paz, Kiril Hernandez, and Deuteronomy Hernandez.
She also leaves behind her cherished great-grandchildren: Gavin Melendez, Amari Amador, Diego Hernandez, Xavier Hernandez, Alexi Valdez Hernandez, and Gia Hernandez.
Olga is lovingly remembered by her siblings: Onesimo Rivera, Odilia Cavazos, Gilbert Rivera, Lydia Aguilar, Ofelia Rivera, and Santos Rivera.
She is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Amy Hernandez, her grandchild Alyia Marie Paz and her brothers Oscar Rivera and Ruben Rivera.
Olga’s legacy is one of love, family, and faith. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to be part of her life.
A visitation for Olga will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. A chapel service will occur at 9AM on Thursday, October 2, 2025 with cremation to follow. All services will occur at Funeraria del Angel Highland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 6705 North Fm 88, Weslaco, Texas 78596.
