Rafael S Chavez, age 73, of Mcallen, Texas passed away on Saturday October 6, 2018. Rafael was born September 26, 1945 to Paula Salinas Chavez and Anacleto Chavez.

Rafael is survived by; son Pablo Chavez; son Jorge Chavez; and daughter Michelle C Zavala; brother Ulalio Chavez, brother Cornelio Chavez, brother Anacleto Chavez, brother Jose S Chavez and sister Elena Reyes; granddaughter Ashley Chavez, granddaughter Danielle Chavez-Dennett, grandson Paul I Chavez, granddaughter Kiana Chavez, grandson Jorge Chavez, grandson Nicolas L Chavez, grandson Cruz M Chavez and granddaughter Ava K Chavez.

Rafael was preceded in death by; father Anacleto Chavez and mother Paula Salinas Chavez; brother Juan S Chavez; brother Cain Orozco and sister Cuca Ortiz.

A memorial service for Rafael will be held Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Highland Funeral Home.
