Ramon Gonzalez Jr., 43, left to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco. He was born on February 6, 1981 in Edinburg, TX to Ramon and Gracie Gonzalez. Ramon was first a man of God, a great husband, father, protector of his family and a man of his word. He was a man always watching and listening but, when he spoke, he spoke volumes. He enjoyed music, watching movies and keeping up with current world events. Ramon loved spending time with his family. He liked guns and showing his girls how to shoot. Ramon enjoyed relaxing at home with his family and furbabies. There was nothing he loved more than to see his girls smile. Ramon was generous and loved to bless those in need and helping in any way that he could. He was always willing to go above and beyond. Ramon was wise and knowledgeable and always shared it with those in need. He was passionate about his job and had compassion for the people he helped. He was an honest man and impacted many people in his lifetime. He loved his wife and children dearly but above all he loved the Lord. He will be loved and missed by many. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Dora Gonzalez; their three daughters: Zoe M. Gonzalez, Faith Gonzalez, Hope Gonzalez and his beloved furbabies: Chewbacca and Lola Gonzalez. He will also be greatly missed by his parents: Gracie & Ramon T. Gonzalez; sisters: Erica (Erik Alonso) Gonzalez, Cristina Gonzalez; his father and mother in law and all of his extended family. He is now reunited with his grandparents: Cipriano & Marta Gonzalez and Juan & Maria Herrera who have preceded him in death. Family will receive friends Friday, August 16, 2024 from 1 pm to 10 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm at Funeraria del Angel Highland in Weslaco. Funeral service will be celebrated at 10 am, Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Living Stone in Mercedes. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
