With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Samuel Jayden Gutierrez, who left this world on January 9, 2026, in Texarkana, Arkansas, at the age of 22. Jayden was born on December 31, 2003, in Edinburg, Texas, to Brandy Acevedo and Samuel Gutierrez Jr., and was deeply loved from the very beginning.
Jayden was a beloved son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. His presence brought love and meaning to all who knew him, and he formed deep, lasting bonds with both family and friends. He will be remembered for the connection he shared with those around him and the quiet impact he made on so many lives.
He was known for his strength, determination, and strong work ethic. Jayden took pride in working hard, accepting responsibility, and doing things the right way. He faced challenges with resilience and perseverance, earning the respect and admiration of those who knew him.
Jayden found joy in the simple things—working on his motorcycle, collecting RC cars, and playing video games. He loved the outdoors and cherished time spent at the beach. Above all, he loved his family. He was truly the best of us.
Jayden is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ray Acevedo.
He is survived by his loving parents, Brandy Acevedo and Samuel Gutierrez Jr., who are left with an immeasurable loss and memories they will forever hold close. He is also survived by his sisters, Brianna Gutierrez and Chloie Isabella Gutierrez; his niece and nephews, Arianna Reed, Ashton Reed, and Loreno Ray Francisco Davila; his maternal grandparents, Reynaldo and Letty Guerra; his paternal grandparents, Samuel Gutierrez and Rosa Maria Gutierrez; along with extended family and dear friends whose lives were enriched by his kindness and love.
Though Jayden’s life was far too short, it was filled with purpose and love. His legacy will live on through the memories he created and the love he shared. He will be remembered always, deeply missed, and forever loved.
Visitation shall begin on Saturday, January 17, 2026, with a Celebration of Life with a pastor starting at 2:00 PM.
