Sandra is survived by her husband, Atanacio Zavala; her children Crystal Zavala, Cristina (Adrian) Salinas and Clarisa Zavala; her only grandchild Emma Yamileth Salinas; siblings Amado Jr., Dora, Juan, Nora, Martin, Javier, Rolando, Jasmin, Rachel, Mary and Pancho.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents Amado and Bertha Treviño and her brothers Jaime Treviño and Juan Crisostomo (Cris).
Sandra was a migrant worker for most of her adolescence and early adulthood before meeting the love of her life and becoming a mother to 3 girls. Sandra devoted her life to her 3 daughters, and her husband. Sandra was an amazing cook! The best! Sandra enjoyed spending time playing loteria with her sisters. Sandra was strong, as she fought Lupus for 23 years. She was humble, kind, giving, and simply the most incredible human being. She will be greatly missed.
A visitation for Sandra will be held Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary recited at 7:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Highland, 6705 N. FM 88, Weslaco, TX 78599. A church service will occur Friday, February 2, 2024 at 1:00 PM at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 901 Texas Blvd N., Weslaco, TX 78596, followed by the interment at 2:00 PM at Highland Memorial Park, Weslaco, TX 78599.
