Santos Alvarado III, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, peacefully left to be with the Lord on September 9, 2026 in Weslaco. He was born on July 30, 1967, in Weslaco, Texas, to Santos Alvarado Jr. and Maria Lucio Alvarado.
Santos dedicated 40 years of his life to Church’s Chicken, where he proudly served as an Area Supervisor. Throughout his remarkable career, Santos’s relentless work ethic, dedication, and commitment earned him the distinction of being the #1 Market Leader for the company. He took great pride in his work and in the relationships he built throughout the many years of service.
Driven by relentless hard work, dedication, and the shared sacrifices made alongside his beloved wife, Paula, one of Santos’s greatest achievements in life was putting his children through college. He worked tirelessly to provide them with opportunities and pave the way for them and their families to build a better future. His greatest pride was knowing that his children had the foundation and support to pursue their dreams.
Above all, Santos was a devoted family man. His family was the center of his world, and he cherished every opportunity to be present for the people he loved. He was a loving husband and a devoted father who took immense pride in his children and their accomplishments. When his sons were growing up, Santos loved coaching them in baseball, creating memories that would remain with them throughout their lives.
As a grandfather, Santos found a special kind of joy. He especially loved attending his grandchildren’s dance recitals, soccer games, softball and volleyball games. He was their proud supporter, always cheering them on and celebrating their accomplishments. The time he spent watching them grow and being part of their lives was among his greatest treasures.
Santos had a wonderful sense of humor and loved making people laugh. He was known for his jokes, playful personality, and ability to bring smiles to those around him. His laughter and warm spirit made him someone people enjoyed being around, and his family and friends will forever cherish the countless moments of joy he shared with them.
He enjoyed many of life’s simple pleasures, including fishing, traveling, barbecuing, and cooking for his family. He enjoyed attending Friday Night Football and proudly watching his Dallas Cowboys on Sundays. Whether he was gathered around the grill, enjoying a football game, traveling with loved ones, or simply spending time with his family, Santos knew how to make ordinary moments into lasting memories.
Santos leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, perseverance, laughter, and devotion to family. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Paula Alvarado; his children, Santos (Sarah) Alvarado IV, Andrew (Alexsa) Alvarado, and Ashley (Julien Lozano) Alvarado; and his beloved grandchildren, Lauren Alvarado, Lillian Alvarado, Adelyn Alvarado, Ashton Alvarado, and Paisley Lozano.
He will also be deeply missed by his father, Santos Alvarado Jr.; and his siblings, Guadalupe, Jose Armando, Jaime, and Oscar Alvarado, along with numerous extended family members, friends, coworkers, and all those whose lives he touched throughout his 59 years.
Santos is now reunited with his beloved mother, Maria Lucio Alvarado, who preceded him in death.
Though his passing leaves a profound emptiness in the hearts of those who loved him, Santos’s legacy will live on through the family he worked so hard to provide for, the children and grandchildren he loved so deeply, and the countless memories he created along the way.
His family will remember his unwavering dedication, his generous heart, his love of family, and especially the laughter he brought into their lives. His greatest legacy was not simply what he accomplished, but the lives he helped build and the love he gave so freely.
Santos may no longer be here to cheer from the sidelines, share a joke, fire up the grill, or gather with his family, but his love will remain in their hearts forever. May he rest peacefully in the loving arms of the Lord, knowing that his life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and his love a legacy that will never fade.
