Saul Mata

Saul is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Mary Ellen Mata, daughter Ann Marie Mata, grandson Michael Rincon, his parents Hijinio and Vicenta Mata, his siblings Pablo Mata (Elva), Vicente Mata (Soyla), Juana M. Yanez, Innocencia Mata Dominguez, Jacinta Luera (Kata), Maria Mata Zavala (Mere), Luisa "Lecha" Mata, Francisca "Panchi" Garcia and Amelia Gonzalez.

Mr. Mata is survived by his children, Celina Mata (Ramon Luna†), Julie Carranza (Ivan Karr), Lupita Mata, Saul Mata Jr. (Monica Ozuna), Linda Mata and Sylvia Perez (Juan), his siblings Manuel Mata (Aurora), Elida Hernandez (Antonio) and Oralia Mata Villagomez (Alfredo), 16 grandchildren, his great grandson Nero L. Alaniz along with 5 great grandchildren

A visitation for Saul will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Open Door Baptist Church, 401 N. Milanos Rd., Weslaco, TX 78596, followed by a prayer service at 7:00 PM. As per his wishes, Mr. Mata will be cremated at a later date.
