Victor M. Garcia, 57, left to be with the Lord on May 21, 2025, in Weslaco. A devoted husband, loving father, and respected public servant, Victor leaves behind a legacy of strength, service, and unwavering dedication to both his family and his community.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lupita Garcia; his children, Karla Garcia, Victor Garcia Jr. (Nevaeh Rodriguez), and Ezequiel Garcia; his mother, Natalia C. Garcia; his brothers, Edmundo Garcia (Alejandra) and Esteban Garcia; and his sister, Glendelia Chapa. He is preceded in death by his father, Esteban Garcia.
Victor dedicated over 25 years of his life to law enforcement, serving with distinction across several departments including the Mercedes and Elsa Police Departments, the Precinct 5 Constable’s Office, and most recently as Police Chief in La Villa. He was also a proud and skilled License to Carry (LTC) instructor, mentoring others with the same passion and discipline he carried throughout his career.
Beyond the badge, Victor was a man of many passions. He found joy and peace while fishing, and he treasured the time spent working on cars with his sons. Above all, he was a family man whose presence brought strength, humor, and warmth to those around him. Victor was also a proud member of the "Southern Justice" Biker Club, where he found camaraderie and lasting friendships.
He was a faithful parishioner and a proud Knight of Columbus for Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in La Villa, where he served his faith and community with the same integrity and devotion he brought to every aspect of his life.
Victor’s life was a testament to courage, commitment, and heart. He protected and served not only in uniform but in every role he held — as a husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
