Elizabeth A. Beck (nee Roundy) of West Allis. While surrounded by family, Gad came and wrapped his mighty arms around Beth, comforting her and releasing her from the earthly entrapment of fronto-temporal dementia on March 4, 2011.
Beth was born in Milwaukee on November 20, 1957, to her surviving parents Terry and Marian (nee Housh) Roundy. She is further survived by her grandmother Myrtle (Leo) Mallon, great aunt Emma Weinel and sister Suzy (Dan) Roundy-Schmidt. She was a devoted mother to and is survived by Erica and Alex (Darleen), as well as a loving aunt to Danielle and Zoey. She will also be missed by special friend John Gall. Beth has been reunited in heaven with her little brother, Kenneth, who was taken from her when she was only fourteen months old.
She grew up in West Allis and during her school years played the violin, participated in Church activities and Girl Scouts. Following high school graduation in 1975 from Nathan Hale High School, Beth attended school and became a Radiology Technologist working at Milwaukee Count Hospital, and continued through its transition to Froedert.
Beth was very active at Greenfield Avenue Presbyterian Church throughout her life, serving in many ways, including ordained elder, committee member, Sunday School teacher and choir member. She was passionate about Human Rights which were unbound by race, class, gender or orientation. She was a supporter of Amnesty International, Planned Parenthood, Hunger Task Force, The Crop Walk, Habitat for Humanity, the Heifer Project International, to name a few.
Beth had two other strong passions, one being the Green Bay Packers who she was fortunate to have attended numerous games at Lambeau Field with special friend John Gall. The other is the Great Circus Parade. Beth and her children were proud residents of Camp Barkinville for many years.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 9th at 3:30 PM until Service begins at 5:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Ben's Meal Program or to the LIghthouse Community in Brown Deer's memorial garden. Many thanks to the Lighthouse Community in Brown Deer as well as to Beth's treatment team at Community Care. Your compassion and caring helped not only Beth in her final days, but also her family and friends.
