John H Shinners

Age 86. Of New Berlin, WI. Passed away peacefully after a short illness on April 24, 2011. Survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Nancy (nee Miller). Wonderful father to Steven R. of Billings, MT, Kathleen Lorenz of Shelton, CT and John D. of Eau Claire, WI. Also survived by his favorite granddaughter Amy (Roberto) Rodriguez and his great-granddaughter Lily. Further survived by his brothers Robert (Joan) and Carl (Carolyn), his two sisters-in-law Lynn Petersen and Susan Smith, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jack served four years in the US Army landing at Normandy, D-Day +5 days. He was very proud to serve as a linesman installing high poles across the Rhine. He contributed his business skills as a CPA for almost 40 years.

Per Jack's wishes, no formal services will be held. A private family gathering will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jack's name to the charity of your choice appreciated.
