

Teresa "Teri" Li, Of Milwaukee, WI passed away on September 2nd, 2011 at the age of 61 after a courageous battle with leukemia. For the past 19 months, her motto was ‘Kick Butt!’ Teri was the daughter of Sen Ting and Teh-Cheng Ho, born January 31st, 1950 in Chongqing, China. She grew up in New York City, graduated from Queens College with a degree in Education and devoted her life's work to children through Montessori teaching. She was a member of the Unitarian Church.
A living wake was held prior to her passing on Friday, August 26th where she was surrounded by her extensive circle of loving family and friends who shared how she touched their lives through being uniquely present for them, for her fearlessness and strength in the face of cancer, for being unconditionally accepting of others and for having an infectious joie de vivre.
Teri is survived by her loving husband of 39 years B, father-in-law Chu-Tsing, son Ben, daughter Rachel, son-in-law John and grandson Jack. Sister to Eleanor, Simon, Anita, Tony and Terri Lin. Further survived by many nieces, nephews and other family members. Contributions may be given to the National Marrow Donor Program or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
The picture is a pre-leukemic picture, taken at daughter Rachel’s wedding two months before she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. It depicts her penchant for spontaneous fun where she was showing how to juggle three clementines at once.
