Alphonzo loved to sing. Here he is celebrating his 71st Birthday singing one of his favorite songs.

Victor, my heart breaks for you. I know how close you were to your dad and you took such good care of him. You  were such a good son to him and that does matter!  I hope that  one day you move from overwhelming grief to happy memories of him, funny memories, and that his memory is a blessing to you. Victor did your daddy dance? If he did, he’s up there dancing with your mom right now, happy and free.  You know I love you, call me if you need anything even just to talk.

Alphonso has been a neighbor to my husband Bob and I for 35 yrs, so many memories, Bob’s fondest memory is when Alphonso would come over to invite him to lunch and he would drive all the way to Rosemead to eat🤷‍♀️ but they had a good time anyway. Victor would invite us to his birthday parties Mariachi’s of course it’s was fun to watch Alphonzo sing every song, when he first started to use the walker I caught him a few times trying to escape the backyard I would cross the street tell him if he didn’t go back inside I was going to go get Stan or Victor he would say no no no ok I’ll go back and he would walk back so fast he was a character for sure. My fondest memory was when he was admitted to the hospital where I volunteer at I went to visit him he reached for my hand kissed it and began to sing to me not sure if he new who I was anymore but Victor reminded him it’s Kathy our neighbor. He was very loved and well taken care of by his two sons Victor and Stan and Alphonso will truly be missed 💕 your neighbors Bob and Kathy
