Angel Huizar Raygoza was born in Momax Zacatecas, Mexico. The son of Carlos Raygoza and Petra Huizar. He grew up in Momax until he was 16 years old with his family finally forming roots in Azusa, CA where he would create lifelong relationships and memories, and build a successful business that allowed him to be involved in the community on many levels.
Angel had many fond memories growing up with his sisters Maria Concepcio (Concha) and Maria Ofelia, and brothers Francisco Javier, Juan Carlos.
Angel belonged to several clubs and organizations over his life; Knights of Columbus, Toast Masters, Chamber of Commerce, and the Real Estate Board of Association which he found great passion in helping others find the perfect place to call home. Towards the end of his time on earth he was heard saying “Real Estate Forever!” and we know that was spoken from the heart.
He was always desiring to learn more and improve his skills, which he encouraged his children to do from a very young age. One of his daughter's fond memories of her as a child was Angel coming home with 25 books that he had purchased to encourage her love of reading and his belief that leaders are readers. He was a leader in the community and he desired that for his children as well.
He was constantly challenging his mind, and body which in turn made him an avid runner. He accomplished his goal of running the L.A. Marathon, and completing a Triathlon because any challenge set he was willing to attain. “No pain, no gain” was his motto and he pushed hard until the end to keep himself active.
He always encouraged his family to look at the bright side and stay positive. His son will always remember his dad saying “it’s all about your attitude” whether raking leaves or cleaning the bathroom it is important to do it with joy and a smile on your face, and not one of sadness or anger. “Always have joy in everything you do!” In work and in life it is important to be positive and that is what he strived to do.
He is survived by his children; Tannya DeMeyer and her husband Christopher and their children Brayden Dean and Emmie Rebeca of Livermore, CA; Luis Angel Raygoza and his children Angel Josiah, Joyce Victoria, and Theo Miguel of Ft. Worth, TX; Two sisters, Maria Concepcion, and Maria Ofelia along with many nieces, nephews and cousins that loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his dearly loved parents, brothers Francisco Javier, Juan Carlos, and nephew Juan Carlos Raygoza.
Angel, loved to travel in his later years in life, took every moment he could to enjoy the adventures around him, and was a true athlete until the very end. May he rest in peace.
