Dear Grandpa,
As I write this to you I want you to know that I miss you dearly and I love you so so much. It hurts to walk out my room and not see you in your chair or see you in the kitchen with grandma. You are the most caring and loving man I know and needed. You taught me how to hold myself strong and to be successful in the things I do. You always made me laugh whenever you made jokes and the funny faces you did. I want you to know that even with your stubborn personality, I still love you and will always love you. I want to Thank you for visiting me in my dreams the other days. I woke up crying because I just knew it was you. Never stop visiting my dreams grandpa. I just know now I have a guardian angel looking over me and that will guide me to success just like you. I always think about you Grandpa. I always think about the time you would go with me and Olivia to get Thrifty’s Ice cream at the Rite-Aid or every Sunday after church, Olivia and I would bug you and Grandma to take us to Mcdonald’s. You had a great heart and a striking personality that I will carry on in my life in memory of you. It still hurts to know that you’re not here with us but God had a choice for you and that is, it was time to go home with your family. I will always keep this saying in my heart that you always use to say to me, “Don’t be sorry, be careful.” To remind me to do the right thing and to think before I do something. This isn’t goodbye Grandpa, I’ll see you later okay?

I knew you for 13 years. I lost my grandfather when I was 10 years old so I felt like I wasn't as close to him as I should've been but then grandpa Gibby came into my life & I earned another grandfather. I will forever miss hearing your stories of Durango & learning the whole history of Pancho Villa in your own words. We sat in the car for over 2 hours just listening to stories & learning so much from you. I am so glad Jazmine got to grow up having you as her great grandfather & I know she will forever cherish those memories. I am so sad that Gianna won't grow up knowing how much of an amazing & hilarious person you were but I will forever let them both know how much you loved them both. Until we see you again Gibby ! Ya no estas batallando por la vida.

Dad, my heart is in agony and my mind still cannot process the fact that you are not with us anymore. It said that times heals the pain but I don't think there's enough time left for me in this world for my heart to heal from your absence. Every day the pain is stronger. It feels like a dream and I'm waiting to wake up so everything could go back to the way it was . I miss you so much dad. What I would give just to hear your say my name one last time or to be able to give you one last hug and tell you how much you meant to me and that I love you. Please dad watch over my kids and my cute baby Josiah.

Francisco Montenegro, My grandfather was a strong, courageous and straight forward as a person can be. Never afraid to shake his fist at the person that just cut him off in his lane or yell "Buy your own road so you can learn how to drive on that one!" After many interactions with him and my teachers I learned he was a funny man. A school employee would ask for a signature, he would reply "I charge for my autograph." He showed me how to show kindness to others. I'll never forget the times he would walk back to the truck to get change to buy an extra coffee for someone less fortunate standing outside the donut shop. Forever in our heart, never forgotten, always loved.
See you later Grandpa, thank you for everything you had spoiled your family with. Your greatest gift is Us, your family. Thank you 🕊🙏🏼

   You will be forever in my memories Frank.  I will never forget the movie nights at The Montenegro home. Sitting with you and the family watching old spaghetti westerns whenever they aired. Those long ago days of our childhood will forever be engrained in my head. The summer days playing baseball in the street while you would watch us. The mornings going to your home for a ride to school and being told to sit and have something to eat while Olivia made breakfast. 
   The evening drives with you just driving around town with one of the boys, while you would explain to us on how to be a good man when we grew up. You will never be forgotten, your words of wisdom will always ring in my head as I raise my own children.  The example you set for me just as my neighbor, are always cherished and exercised with my son every day.  
   Frank I cannot express enough the respect I have for you, your daily words of wisdom, ypur quirky sayings, your expressions of caring, your expressions of compassion, your expressions of love for your family. These are all things you did selflessly for others. You are a real good man, I am honored to have known you. You were a solid male figure that I needed in my life growing up. Thank you for everything.
Rest in peace, we will see each other again one day when God calls me also. Until then Frank, I'll see you in my dreams.

Grandpa, I love you first off.  Saying goodbye was the hardest I could ever do, you were part of my every day life, my first hello in the morning, and my last goodbye of the day I will always miss the jokes, the way you tried to scare me and Emily, the way that me and Josiah were greeted by you first thing in the morning. I will always cherish going to the donut shop on Francsquito and willow and by the time you walked in, they had your two large coffees for you and grandma and a small ones for mondo. I’m going to miss everything about you.  I hate this process. In my mind, you lived forever and reality hit me when you left but you reassured me that you’ll be here with me and Josiah. It’s not a goodbye but see you later. I love you forever grandpa. Till we meet again🕊️🤍

Like most of us, my father wasn't perfect, but his qualities as a human being, as a father, as a grandfather and as a husband speaks volumes. He cared a lot about his family, he worked hard and tried to give my mother the best he could possibly give. At a young age,  he was the one sibling that took care of his parents, even while trying to raise us as a family, he always tried to help people close to him, like helping my mother's siblings and her parents in a time of need. I remember my father parking his truck, just to help an old man cross the street, that image of him stayed with me for the rest of my life. I learned something that day, from him. In how to be kind to people who need help. Love you Dad! You had a heart of gold. Thank everything .
