My condolences and prayers to all of her loving family. It was a pleasure to hear the great tributes that were spoken about Josie at the Rosary. I have seen her come and go from Lori and Danny's house for over 30 years and when I would see her I was always greeted with a smile and a hello and if I caught them leaving it was still a smile and goodbye. A word comes to my mind that defines her all wrapped up with her love of family, selflessness, and compassion....a true MATRIARCH.

My condolences to the Garcia family, the children, grandchildren, and extended family. Josie played a huge role in my early adult life. She cared for her “adopted” church children as she and Ruben assisted in playing a huge part in our spiritual growth. She always gave of herself and was ready and willing to help anyone who needed it. Her family was everything. May she Rest In Peace.

You are the most hard-working, humble and loving person I've ever known. I appreciate everything you've done for our family. You showed love to all of our family friends and treated them like family. Thank you for being all of our first teacher and always being there for us. I'll never forget eating your green chili, losing to you in widow while camping and cheering on those Dodgers. Promise to make you proud Nan. LOVE YOU!

Missing you is definitely an understatement...
I still can’t believe you’re gone, but knowing you are dancing in heaven makes me at peace. Nana you were one of a kind. You are the strongest and most generous person I know. I am so happy and proud to call you MY Nana!!!

I am beyond thankful and blessed for all you have given me and more, but mostly I want to thank you because of your big heart it has shown and taught, my mom to strive to be the best mom she can be. She takes after you. I’m forever thankful!!
“Family is everything!”as you always said nana.

I will forever miss camping, asking how bingo was, shopping, and mostly doing your makeup, hair, and nails when you would ask me.
I miss you Nana, O soooo much!!

I know you’ll be watching me from up above and I promise to always make you proud 💙

I love you MORE Nana and Thank you!!!!

Josie was our idol, because she lived her life for her family, grand-kids and her great granddaughter, she accepted Gerardo and I as family.

She loved to Dance and Play Bingo and Win (most of the time). Our special memories of her was, her 50th Anniversary Cruise, she celebrated before her Vows by taking Shots of Tequila with the Big Guy “Gerardo Macias” we had so much fun on that trip, taking Tequila Shots with the Big Guy was always a tradition for all other occasions. Josie you will be missed but never forgotten, may you rest in peace.

Words cannot describe how much I love you and how much you meant to not only me but every single one of your grandkids. It’s been less than a week that you are not physically here anymore and it feels like an eternity.

I was blessed to have created the best memories with you. From our yearly summer vacation cruises to glamping in Mammoth and the resort (because we didn’t do tents haha)

One of my favorite childhood memories was just the two of us going to the 99 cent store and you letting me pick 10 things to take back to your house for our sleepover. I used to think “wow my Nana is rich” and we would have the best sleepovers!

Thank you Nana for loving Arianna as much as you did! Every time you two were together my heart smiled. I know you will watch over her. I will always talk about you and remind Arianna what an amazing More Nana she had!
I know you are eating all the bbq bacon cheeseburgers and having the best margaritas in Heaven! So cheers to you Nana! We will continue your legacy and make you proud.

I will always remember my beloved Aunt Josie as someone who was always smiling, always finding the happier side of things. She was someone who laughed easily.

She seemed to know how to create fun, no matter the occasion. I loved Easter at her home as she was the person who introduced "confetti filled" Easter eggs.

Her home always had the warm delicious scent of her amazing home cooking.

We spent so much time at her home as kids. Us playing outside to all hours of the night while our parents played cards (Canasta I think).

Really, you couldn't help but feel the love and care she projected to anyone who walked through her front door.

Our hearts will forever miss her and her easy smile and laugh.

May you rest in peace Aunt Josie.
