Nika Sherrice Irvin was born June 22, 1979 to the late Chris Irvin and Gloria Ann Alford.
Her education was obtained in the Monrovia Unified School District. She went on to further her education by receiving her Bachelors Degree from the Univesity of San Bernardino and a Masters Degree from Loyola Maramount University and worked there for a number of years as a counselor. She was baptized at Calvary Road Baptist Church in 1992.
The most joyous time of her life was when she found out she was going to be a mother. Nika followed everything the doctors said from her diet to her weight gain, but the only thing she didn't change was her love for tacos. The beauty and grandeur of her life was being a mother. We will always remember her as caring, sharing compassionate and loving to all that met her. Nika had a smile that could easily win you over. We love and are thankful for all the years we had together.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory a daughter, Amira Belle Johnson; her mother Gloria Ann Alford; one sister Nikia Nicole Knox; two brothers, Anton Irvin and Clifton Weiser Knox and grandmother Bertha Reese. Preceded in death by grandmother Clara Bell O'Quinn Brown; grandfathers JB O'Quinn and Clarence Irvin. She leaves a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins and well wishers who loved her well.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.FunerariadelangelWC.com for the Irvin family.
