Agnes Ann Faux, 81, passed away August 15, 2018 surrounded by her family and wonderful staff at Parkridge Specialty Care in Pleasant Hill. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at McLaren’s Chapel in West Des Moines with burial at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at McLaren’s.

Agnes was born May 24, 1937 in Trenton, MO to Ernest and Mary (Waddell) Dykes. Her family moved to Des Moines when she was young and she met the love of her life, Ivan Faux, while attending East High School. They got married in 1954 and just celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary this year. Agnes worked as a sales associate at JCPenney’s for 25 years.

Agnes is survived by her husband, Ivan; daughters, Marcia (Gary) Nicols, Lisa (AJ) Drew, and Laura (Kevin) Clement; sister, Mary Lou Toomey; brother, Vaughn Dykes; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Edward Dykes.
