GRIMES - Aileen Virginia Hart was born August 24, 1941 in Ft. Worth, TX to Viola Virginia and James Edwin Hart. She passed away peacefully on September 22, 2021 after a long battle with Dementia. She had been a Des Moines resident since her marriage to the late Dr. Charles W. Howe DVM in 1959. She was a loving mother to their four children; Susan Griffin, Bob Howe, Heather Mylan-Mains and Erin Howe. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Rachel Marie Weldon. She is survived by her children, 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and nephews, Mike Ortiz and Scott Mendes. She cherished her family and the time she spent with them. She dedicated her life to learning many subjects, including an intense study of faith. She loved the scriptures, gospel music and serving others. She was witty and loved to laugh. She wanted everyone to enjoy the journey and will be missed by those who knew and loved her. She looked forward to meeting her Heavenly Father.
