Dear Kay and family,
So sad to read of Allen's death.  You both have always been so kind and friendly to me over the years.  It's been a while since we've talked.  I was unaware that he had been failing.  Wanted you to know I am thinking about you and hope you will keep in touch.  Roz Ansher

Kay and Laura, I was out of town when Alan passed and was unable to find the obituary.  For some reason it was not coming up on the Register site.  I wanted to send my love and let you know that I am thinking of you.  I know it's been a long battle.  I miss seeing you and hope we can keep in touch in the future.  Love to you both. Kay, I want to express my sympathy.  I enjoyed spending many meals sitting my Allen at Arbor Springs while I was feeding Chuck.We all missed him when he left.

So sorry Kay, Laura,  Every time I drive down 40th Street, I think of Al.  We spent a lot of time talking whenever the two of us were mowing the lawn, shoveling the snow, or just hanging outside in the yard.  I really miss all those memories.  Once you got Al going, it could be hours of conversation.  Don also has memories of Al and all his conversations with him - especially when it came to lawyers.  He seemed to know a lot about everyone in Des Moines.  You two are in our hearts and minds.  We miss you and love you.  Fondly Sue
