Belva was born March 23, 1927 in Grand Junction, IA to Lou and Isabel (Mylenbusch) Anderson. Following graduation from Ogden High School, she attended AIB. She married Ed Riegel in 1946. Belva then went on to work for Combined Insurance Company from 1960 until her retirement. She was a member of Cottage Grove Avenue Presbyterian Church, Union Park United Methodist Church, and church choirs in Iowa and Arizona.

Belva is survived by her children, Linda (Leland) Reece, Vicki Warren, and Barry Riegel; seven grandchildren, Rick (Shana) Warren, Chad Warren, Matthew (Jenna) Reece, and Carrie (Garth) Johnson, Madeline Riegel, Rachel (Brian) Johnson, and Miranda (Michael) Kramer; seven great grandchildren, Katie, Sam, Maya and Hayden Warren, Magnolia Reece, Elsie and Jameson Johnson, and one coming soon. She is also survived by her brother Gerald (Janice) Anderson, and two sisters-in-law, Beverly and Norma Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Darlene Battani; two brothers, Lester and Donald Anderson; son-in-law, Rick Warren; and brother-in-law, George Battani.
