

Camden Mark Stuempfig, (18), went home to be with his Heavenly Savior, Jesus Christ on August 19, 2026. Camden was baptized as an infant and asked The Lord into his heart to be saved at a young age. Camden was very close in his relationship with The Lord, and he knew he was saved in Heaven when The Lord called his name. He was a true believer.
Camden Mark Stuempfig was born on March 19, 2008, in Des Moines, Iowa. He was such a joyous baby, bringing so much laughter and smiles to everyone he met. He became very close with his grandfather “PaPa” spending all their time together. Papa nick named Camden “Mr. Personality” as he would talk to everyone and anyone no matter where they went.
Camden attended Des Moines Christian School. Starting in preschool and graduated from Walnut Creek School in May 2026 with plans to join the military and follow in his father’s footsteps. Through school Camden played soccer, baseball, basketball, bowling, football and hockey. Camden loved history and enjoyed science.
On December 11, 2014, Camden was blessed with a baby sister, Delainey Cathryn. Camden was a huge help with Delainey and they bonded quickly.
Camden enjoyed family trips, fishing, and spending time with Delainey. He was very protective of Delainey and took her many places, including a concert at the Iowa State Fair she wanted to attend just before his passing.
Camden loved watching the Chicago Cubs with his dad, music, and going to hockey games as a family. Camden was always willing to help someone in need and was so kind and caring. Everyone could count on Camden. Camden was always there and wanted to lend a hand. Camden especially loved the relationship he had with his sister and cousins.
Camden is survived by his parents, Mark Stuempfig and Kathleen Stuempfig; sister Delainey Stuempfig (11); grandmothers Mary Parker of Des Moines, Gertrude Stuempfig of Urbandale; grandfather Paul (Sue) Stuempfig of Phoenix, AZ; aunts: Kristin Parker of Austin, TX, Suzanne (Randy) Ballard of Urbandale; cousins Parker (Sidney) Champion of West Des Moines, Champ (Amira) Champion of Norwalk, JP Lynch of Austin, TX, Alex Dandy, along with many other family and friends.
Proceeding Camden in death was his Papa Jerry Parker and Aunt Jennifer Champion.
Thank you, Camden, for being such a blessing to us and sharing your humor, love, and laughter. You were always such a joy to everyone. We love you more and the most!
Visitation will be held at McLaren's Resthaven Chapel, 801 -19th Street, West Des Moines, Iowa 50265, on September 12, 2026, at 11:00 am. A Memorial Service will begin at 12:00 pm. Inurnment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery.
