Charles "Chuck" L. Cox

Charles L. “Chuck” Cox, 72, passed into his Heavenly Father’s arms on Wednesday, August 29, 2018. At Chuck’s request, a private family visitation and funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at McLaren’s Funeral Home in West Des Moines with burial at Jordan Cemetery in West Des Moines.

Chuck was born in San Diego, grew up in Des Moines, and attended Grand View College. He worked as a contract manager at Meredith’s Better Homes and Garden’s Real Estate for 21 years, as Region VP at United Country Real Estate, and most recently at the State of Iowa DDS.

Chuck enjoyed sports. He played high school and college basketball and on a men’s softball team. Chuck coached soccer and baseball for many years. He also enjoyed working in the yard, peanut butter, movies, his dog Maestro, and wearing jogging suits as his main attire.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Janeen Cox; daughter, Tammy Nunnally; sons, Charlie (April) Cox, Adam Cox, Jason Cox and Daniel Stewart; and grandchildren, John, David and Julieanne Nunnally, and Bailey Cox; brothers, Brian (Jana) Cox and Bill (Sherry) Cox; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Vivian Cox and brother, Gary Cox.
