Charles “Chuck” Formaro, 81 passed away Sunday, December 27, 2015 at his home. A visitation will be held from 12 Noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at McLaren’s Chapel in West Des Moines with the burial following at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.
Chuck was born April 25, 1934 in Des Moines to Charles D. and Juanita V. (Clos) Formaro. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School and served his country overseas in the Marine Corp. After Chuck returned, he married Kaye Ellen Hukill. He worked for General Motors Corp. in St. Louis, MO and Atlanta, GA until he retired.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Kaye of Cumming, GA; son, Robin of Alpharetta, GA; grandsons, Mason and Joseph; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Thomas R. Formaro; and a sister, Carmella M. Williams.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Association-Greater Iowa Chapter.
