Cindy Kane, 58, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Taylor House Hospice. A Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at McLaren’s Resthaven Chapel in West Des Moines, Iowa.
Cindy was born August 2, 1956 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and JoAnn (Gullion) Rhiner. She was a lifelong resident of West Des Moines and was united in marriage to Ed Kane on June 21, 1974. Cindy worked in social services and at Giff Wagner’s 5th Street Pub in West Des Moines for over 20 years.
She is survived by her two children, Eddie (April) Kane and Samantha (Denny) Kane-Tibbitts; mother, JoAnn Gullion; siblings, Lindie (Rhiner) Stivers, Doug (Crystal) Rhiner, Travis (Sarah) Rhiner, Liane Rhiner, Dawn (Clark) Dudley, and Donnie Oakes; two grandchildren, Adyn and Caesyn Kane; ex-husband, Ed Kane; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her father.
Cindy was a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary Post 8879.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at McLaren’s Chapel. Memorial contributions may be directed to Cindy’s family.
