Jing and the entire Turner Family: Please accept our condolences. Be strong in this time of adversity. Dan's untimely passing away is hard to understand but the good lord/God knows best.

Uncle Dan was a wonderful person. He always had funny stories to tell and he really made you feel like you were the only person in the room when he spoke with you. He will be missed dearly.

I have a lot of really great memories of my Uncle Dan.  He had a big heart and lots of love for those around him.  Fond memories include a trip to Florida (complete with shark sighting) and hanging out at his house as a kid just enjoying life. And his joking -- he always had something funny to say.  He also inspired me in many ways.  He was a great guy who is gone too soon.

Though I have not seen Dan for 14 years, I remember working with him and creating systems that work for the customer.He always had a twinkle in his eye and that "little smile" on his face. He was fun to work with and rarely had to correct any of his code. Dan was a professional and always showed genuine interest in his co-workers and customers. A good guy gone too soon.

When I think of my uncle Dan what comes to mind first are the many good times we shared at family birthday parties and the holidays.  Dan was a really fun person to be around.  He always had something interesting to talk about and enjoyed making people laugh.

Hardly a moment goes by since his departure from this world that I am not now thinking of him and all of the times we shared--the happy, joyful times, as well as challenging times, that strengthened us. 

We shared happy childhood times in Vienna, VA playing neighborhood games of kick-the-can  & softball, telling stories around the campfire in our backyard at night,  and during annual family summer vacations at Nags Head Beach, NC & Kitty Hawk, NC. 

During our adult years we were blessed to be able to have family get-togethers, celebrating birthdays and the holidays, either at my home or his; and, also, to share our hopes, dreams and challenges during long, evening phone conversations.  During our family challenges—the passing of our mother and recently our father, we stood firm together in our faith in Jesus Christ and encouraged, prayed for  and supported each other. 

Just as we have traveled down this earthly highway together from childhood through adulthood, I am sure one day in the future we will travel down the spiritual highway in heaven together.

Dan was a thoughtful and fun co-worker.  He made my job more pleasant than it would have been otherwise.  He would often send me little pictures and notes to cheer me up.
