Darrell Salazar, 45, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at McLaren’s Chapel with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Darrell was born on March 8, 1971 in Des Moines, Iowa to Albert J. and Frances Salazar. He graduated from Valley High School in 1990. His favorite pastime was working on handyman projects, helping people out, fishing, and spending time with Jason and his family and friends.
He is survived by his son, Jason; mother, Frances Salazar; brothers and sisters, John (Pam) Salazar, Anita (Rich) Pinkerton, Jr., Albert Salazar, Paul (Luanna) Salazar, and Marlena Salazar; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Darrell was preceded in death by his father, Albert and his sister, Jean Garcia-Salazar.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for Jason’s education fund.
