David A. Stoddard, 48, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. A Celebration of Life service will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Northwest Community of Christ Church in Urbandale. Burial at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines at a later date.
David was born June 5, 1969 to Dennis and Mary (Anderson) Stoddard in Des Moines. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1988. David was very close to his mother and appreciated her very much. His favorite pastime was being with his friends and listening to music. David was a huge animal lover and enjoyed taking his friends dogs for rides in his pick-up truck. His favorite hobby was to fix things that were broke, making them better, and selling them on Craigslist. Simply put, he liked to buy, sell, and trade. David also enjoyed cooking, throwing things together and making a meal. He will be missed greatly and loved always.
David is survived by his mom, Mary Ann; his daughter, Anna Anderson and her mother Becky; three aunts, Dixie Rhiner, Susan Knapp, and Diane Mussell; and many other cousins and friends.
