Delores Toft, 88, passed away April 24, 2025 in Des Moines. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at McLaren’s Resthaven Chapel in West Des Moines with a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. at McLaren’s. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.
Delores was born August 31, 1936 in Belmond, Iowa to Frederick and Clara (Smit) Gealow. She graduated from Belmond High School in 1955 and then married Jerry Toft on January 11, 1957. She worked at a professional cleaning business for a time, before becoming a stay-at-home mom. She also helped Jerry at his business, JLT Adjustment Service, when needed. Delores had a passion for moose collectibles, Precious Moments figurines, pewter figurines, and crystal bells and acquired quite the collection over the years. She loved shopping and spending quality time with her family, especially her two grandsons.
Delores is survived by her daughter, Angela, and her two grandsons, Cody and Austin. She was preceded in death by one sister, Linda, and husband, Jerry.
