Dina Manfredini, 115, passed away December 17, 2012 at Bishop Drumm Care Center. A Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart with burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at McLaren’s Chapel in West Des Moines with a vigil service at 7 p.m.
Dina came to the U.S. in 1920 after marrying Ricardo Manfredini. They settled in Des Moines and together they had four children, Mary, Dante, Rudolph, and Enes.
She is survived by three children, Mary Russo, Dante (Bernice) Manfredini, and Enes (Pete) Logli; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Dina was preceded in death by her husband, Ricardo; son, Rudolph; sisters, Lucia and Esterina; and her brother, Angelo.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the nurses and staff at Bishop Drumm and Dr. Mangil Seo for the wonderful care Dina received.
