Donald Joseph Callahan

Donald Callahan, 90, died on August 8, 2018 at home. He was born on September 17, 1927 in Pasadena, CA to James and Ella (Christie) Callahan.

Donald retired as Vice President of PlainTalk Printing. He was an avid bicyclist and enjoyed his rose garden.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Doris; daughters, Laurie (David) Joos and Ann (Gary) Stover; son, Patrick Callahan; grandchildren, Kelly Joos, Nate Joos, Sara Dolentz, Tyler Stover, Taylor Stover, Katharyn Callahan; 3 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Richard Callahan. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jack and James, and his sister, Bonnie Denninger.

Funeral services will be 11 am on Saturday, August 11 at McLaren’s Funeral Chapel in West Des Moines. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm on Friday evening. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery.
