Donita J. Schrock, 69, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. A Memorial visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McLaren’s Chapel with private inurnment at Resthaven Cemetery.
Donita was born February 23, 1944 in Audubon, Iowa to Andrew and Erma (Miller) Jensen. She was a claims processor for Marsh and past PTA President at Park Avenue Elementary School. Donita enjoyed playing bridge, golfing, feeding birds, fishing, traveling, doing crafts and spending time with family and friends.
Donita is survived by her husband, James Schrock of Des Moines; daughter, Doni (Jeff) McGivney of Des Moines; son, Jamie (Kristi) Schrock of West Des Moines; one grandchild, Cody Schrock of Des Moines; one step-grandchild, Gavin McGivney of Baird; brother, Byron (Judy) Jensen of Burlington, CO; two sisters, Ardell (Jerry) Kelly of Audubon and Colleen (Gale) Van Aernam of Exira and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Association or the American Kidney Foundation.
