Drake Colony

Drake was born July 22, 1923, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to Harold and Louella Colony. He graduated from Roosevelt High School and served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He married Mary Ogren and they spent over 50 years together. Drake liked walking at Merle Hay Mall and enjoyed all the people. He attended Westminster Presbyterian Church and spent Sunday's at his daughter, Gini's house. Drake also made regular appearances at the Northwest Community Center in Des Moines where he enjoyed playing pool.

Drake will be missed by his children, Steve (Gracie) Colony of Pensacola, Florida, Gini (Gary) Livesay of Urbandale, Iowa, and Linda (Ron) LaFever of Littleton, Colorado; five grandchildren, Bobby (Nichole) Colony, Taylor Colony, Allison LaFever, Marten LaFever and Dain (Becky) Livesay; and four great-grandchildren, Bailey and Danica Colony and Ashli and Jayden Livesay; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; parents; and one sister, Jane Nesbit.
