Dyanna Lee Cowden, 57, passed away peacefully March 17, 2017. A celebration of her life will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the West Des Moines Elks Lodge, 2060 NW 94th Street, in Clive 50325. A memorial graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2017 at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.
Dyanna was born May 19, 1959 in Des Moines to James and Charlene Cowden. She graduated from Valley High School in 1977. Dyanna most recently worked in the bakery at Sam’s Club. She enjoyed crafts, fishing, puzzles, writing poems, cooking, watching the food network, and Detroit Redwings Hockey. Dyanna loved spending time with her family and her grandkids.
Dyanna is survived by her son, Tyler (Tia) Stubbs; father, James Cowden; brother, Ron (Brenda) Cowden; granddaughters, Alice Mae and Margaret Stubbs; nephews, Cory (Stephenie) Cowden, Kelly (Mandi) Cowden, and Chad Cowden; great nephew, Danny Cowden; great niece, Sidney Cowden; and brother-in-law, Tom Thomsen. She was preceded in death by her mother, Charlene Cowden and sister, Connie Thomsen.
