Hugh Elliot “Eli” Hagen, 58, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016. A visitation will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2016 with a 3 p.m. memorial service at McLaren’s Resthaven Chapel in West Des Moines, Iowa.
Eli was born in Guntersville, Alabama on January 2, 1958. Eli was a friend to many and will be dearly missed.
Eli really enjoyed his fishing and rock hunting. He was a huge Alabama fan and never did he give up on his beloved Rams. Eli’s humor was his greatest gift that touched everyone he met. His friends and his dogs were the most important parts of his life. He was a very special person to all who knew him.
He is survived by his mother, Inge Hagen; sister, Carol (Rick) Crampton; brother, Bruce (Sharon) Hagen; and nephews, Ben, Ryan, and Taylor Crampton. Eli was preceded in death by his father, Harry Hagen.
