

Jeanne W. Heller, 90, passed away Monday, November 6, 2017. A Funeral Mass will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2017 at St. Augustin Parish in Des Moines with entombment at Resthaven Mausoleum in West Des Moines. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at McLaren’s Chapel in West Des Moines.
Jeanne was born July 12, 1927 in LeMars, IA to Herman and Claire (Binneboese) Lang. She graduated from LeMars Central High School and attended the University of Houston. Jeanne worked at Firestone in Des Moines, was a legislative clerk for Senator John Schott and Senator George Kinley, and was an aide to Congressman Neal Smith. She was a longtime member of St. Augustin Parish. Jeanne was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who believed kids could do whatever they worked for. She was also an avid gardener who loved flowers.
Jeanne is survived by her sons, Tim (Louise) Heller of IN and Mike (Tracy) Heller of West Des Moines; daughter, Heidi Heller of WA; son; Pat (Juliann) Heller of MN; eleven grandchildren, Jessica (Terri) Allen, Danielle, Robby, Riley, Sophia, Olivia, Chandler, Abigail, Benjamin, Samuel, and Eleanor; sister; Margie Eilts of Lenexa, KS; nephews and nieces, Tom (Margaret) Henrich, Jim (Claris) Henrich, and Ione Perry; and lifetime friend, Enes Logli. She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry.
