Evonne Smith, 65, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. A Memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Park Avenue Christian Church in Des Moines. Burial of cremated remains will be at the Shaul Cemetery in Ottumwa, IA at a later date.
Evonne was born April 1, 1947 in Ottumwa, IA. She was a Quality Monitor for Wells Fargo Mortgage. Evonne loved music, playing the piano and spending time with her nieces and nephews.
Evonne is survived by her three sisters, Cindi Thompson of Windsor Heights, Janet (Joe) Munzenmaier of Norwalk and Harriet Kemp of Indianola; many nephews, nieces, great nephews and a great niece. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Yvonne (Kendall) Smith and two brothers, Kendall Smith and Harry James Smith III.
