Geraldine “Jerry” Berg, 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior with her family by her side on September 3, 2016. A memorial graveside service was held Friday, September 9, 2016 at Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter, IA along with her late husband of 62 years, R.W. “Rudy” Berg.
Jerry was born in Le Mars, IA on November 6, 1931 to Walter and Ruth Bogen. Jerry and Rudy founded ITA, Group, Inc.; A corporation which structures sales incentives for fortune 500 companies. During their 30 years with the company, they enjoyed seeing the world from a perspective most can only read and dream about today. To hear Jerry tell it, it wasn’t always glamorous and often said she would write a book called “What time is the midnight buffet?” The book was never written but the stories continue to be told. She remained an active member in the West Des Moines United Methodist Church up until her passing.
Jerry is survived by her children, Dr. David Berg of Johnston, Daniel (Jodi) Berg of Spirit Lake and Kim (Rick) Stageman of Norwalk; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
