We lost our Grace August 13, 2013, one week after her 17th birthday. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines with burial at Resthaven Cemetery.
Grace was born August 6, 1996 in Des Moines, Iowa. She was a student at Walnut Creek Campus and also worked as an administrative assistant at Vogue Vision at Indian Hills. Grace was a member of Lutheran Church of Hope. She was artistic, loved playing the guitar and was environmentally friendly.
Grace is survived by her father, Charles Ohrtman of West Des Moines; mother and step-father, Julia and Radar Vanderzyl of Pella; grandparents, Betsy and Bud Burch of Urbandale; grandmother, Joyce Martin of Fulton, TX and her large extended family and circle of friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dale and Joyce Ohrtman.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, August 19, 2013 at McLaren’s Chapel. Memorial contributions may be directed to Furry Friends Rescue.
