H. Beryl Kendall

H. Beryl Kendall, 88, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013 at Ramsey Village in Des Moines. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Capitol Hill Lutheran Church, Des Moines followed by a Memorial Service at 10:30 a.m. Burial of cremated remains for Beryl and Dorothy will be at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines and Maple Hill Cemetery in Osceola.

Beryl was born July 1, 1924 in Leon, IA. He was an Insurance Agent for over 30 years and a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII in Germany. Beryl was a member of Capitol Hill Lutheran Church, Highland Park Legion Post #374, Lions Club in Osceola and Pleasant Hill and Iowa Lutheran Hospital Auxiliary.

Beryl is survived by his two sons, Mike (Sherrie) Kendall of San Diego, CA and Mark (Debra) Kendall of Prescott, AZ; three step-daughters, Karin Strand of Altoona, Linda (Clifford) Squires of Des Moines and Laura (Charlie) Hills of Austin, TX; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and brother, Jack (Marie) Kendall of Cedar Rapids, IA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; great-grandson, Brandon Eckstein and sister, Margie (John) Hartnell.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Capitol Hill Lutheran Church or Iowa Hospice.
