Helen Louise Schnoor, 97, passed away January 8, 2024 in Urbandale. A family service will be held at McLaren’s Resthaven Chapel in West Des Moines with burial at Davenport Memorial Park in Davenport. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
Helen was born August 27, 1926 in Lucas County, IA to Howard and Laura (Peterson) Jennison. She graduated from Albia High School. She married Ralph J. Schnoor on August 31, 1947. They were married for over 62 years until his passing on February 11, 2010. Family, neighbors, friends, and community were most important.
Helen is survived by her children, Dale (Donna) Schnoor and Vickie (Hugh) Ceaser; four grandsons, Tim (Amie) Schnoor, Steve (Katie) Schnoor, Paul (Marisa) Ceaser, and Scott (Tennille) Ceaser; 11 great-grandchildren, Preston, Nessa, Landry, Crosby, Isla, Bret, Jace, Lennon, Quinn, Reagan, and Harry; three nephews, Keith (Christine) White, Bruce White, and Jeff White; and one niece, Chris (Ike) Sederstrom. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Lois Tallman and Ann White.
Memorials may be made to St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church in Davenport.
