Janice retired as the office manager for her husband's dental practice. She was a wonderful mother and enjoyed the symphony, opera performances, sailing, travelling and wine club. Janice was a member of the West Des Moines Methodist Church.
Janice is survived by children of her marriage to Harry Van Arsdale, daughters Joy Sanders (Scott) of Des Moines and Susan "Nicole" Grabowski (James) of North Fort Myers, FL; son Harry "Buzz" Van Arsdale (Susan) of Goleta, CA; sister Annette Maclleland of West Des Moines; ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Janice was preceded in death by her second husband, Dr. Jerry D. Harvey, DDS.
Janice's memorial service will be held Friday, March 5, 2021, at 2:00 pm at McLaren's Resthaven Chapel in West Des Moines. Private inurnment will be at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter.
